John R. Phythyon, Jr. has spent most of his life wishing to have been bitten by a radioactive spider or rocketed to Earth, the last son of a dying a world. He is, in fact though, just basically a guy in Kansas who really digs on writing, current events, pop culture, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Perhaps because he has talent for multiple genres and media, perhaps because he flits from project to project like a magpie chasing a piece of tinfoil blowing in the wind, John works in diverse fields. By day, he is a (mostly) mild-mannered business writer, crafting letters, web copy, newsletters, and other important business documents for his employer du jour. At night, though, he stows the hat and trench coat in the closet (or on the couch if he doesn’t feel like hanging things up) and dons the mantle of . . . Creative Writer!
John is absolutely loaded with opinions, and he tries to render them here in literary fashion. Or so he tells himself. Given that he doesn’t have the super powers he always wanted, he hopes he can save the world through blogging instead. Failing that, he hopes to at least entertain a few readers.
“Pleading the Phyth” is an eclectic mix of the subjects listed above and anything else that strikes his fancy. He aims for a blog that is insightful, interesting, amusing, perhaps irreverent, and not as long-winded as this “About” page.
