Greetings and salutations! You’ve found the internet home of John R. Phythyon, Jr. – author of traditional and contemporary fantasy fiction.

John writes the Wolf Dasher series of fantasy-thriller mash-up novels, which combine the style of James Bond films with a classical fantasy setting, featuring elves, dragons, and magic. He also is the author of several modern fairy tales — contemporary retellings of well known fables with a dark sensibility. And, of course, he writes swords-and-sorcery fantasy fiction about wizards and warriors in magical lands.

“Pleading the Phyth” is John’s regular blog. He posts several times a week about writing, his fiction, and just about anything else on his mind. Click the button above to start reading!

      Hi, Janet. Thanks for reading!

I’m writing Book 5, Twice in a Lifetime, right now. It’s due out the first week of November, just in time for the new James Bond film. Wolf will be hunting Paasdemini, and it’s election time in Alfar. Lots of twists and turns!

Hope your move went well. Thanks for writing!

Hello I have read all of your Wolf Dasher series. I am very impressed and have been hooked from the start. When will Armageddon come out?. And will it be the installment in the series?

Hi, Brad! The Armageddon Clock will be out in the first quarter of 2016. I’m aiming at a February release at the moment, but it could be early March depending on how my schedule shakes out.

At the moment, I haven’t decided whether it will be the final book in the series. It kind of depends on how it ends. It *will* be apocalyptic and bring the current story arc to a close. Stay tuned!

Thanks for reading and for the comment!
